Haze is a well known killer. No one knows why he kills people and everyone is determined to be the first one to find out. Reporter and specialist in psychology, Luna Wright, decides she was going to uncover everything and anything underneath the mask of Haze Nilsen. 
This story takes you through the story of a man who struggled emotionally his entire life. He was tossed around foster homes as a kid and never had the time to socially or emotionally develop. Haze never had anyone he could trust or anyone to live for. When he was 13, he was taken to a new house. There he met a girl named Nancy Dean. She was an optimist and he was a pessimist. He thought the world was full of hate and she thought the world was full of love. Spending time with her made him a better person and gave him a different view towards life. 
As Luna Wright continues to dive deeper into the mysterious background of Haze Nilsen, she begins to discover that he might not be the bad guy everyone makes him out to be. 
This heartrending story shows the development of a young boy learning how to cope with the terrors of life and the harsh reality of growing up too fast.
