"Dallas... I can't." I said biting my lip. Dallas had become closer to me than any person since Luke, but any closer and everything would come crashing down around me. "Shh..." he said putting a finger to my lips, "I understand... I really do. But you can't keep pushing me away, you can't deny what's happening between us... and I promise I'll never hurt you." I hadn't cried in years, but it wasn't one of those things you could forget how to do. The tears came spilling out before I could even try to stop them. Dallas pulled me into his strong arms, letting me sob into his chest. "I'm sorry Dallas... but I don't think I have the heart to love anymore." I felt Dallas stroke my hair, the feeling made me almost believe that I still could. "Yes you do.... it's just lost. If you'll let me, I'll help you find it."
I stared up into his captivating stormy blue eyes, and that's the moment, I started to believe again.
