In this world, there are two groups: Socials "Socs" and Greasers
What happens when a Soc and Greaser collide?
Johnny is a 16 year old Soc. He's got the ideal life. However, Johnny is not much of a brainiac. His parents beg for change, so he gets sent to a tutor.
Ponyboy "Pony" is a 15 year old Greaser. Pony likes taking risks, but at the end of the day, he gets stuff done. And regardless of Ponyboy's struggle with smoking - he's apart of the track club and he is the highschools tutor.

Johnny doesn't mind that though, he likes it the way it is, but he mainly would just like things to be different at home, but he's content with the gang. He was okay with them. Until his father dies. His old man had always treated him like shit anyway, but there was something inside that was crushed. Dad would sometimes help little Johnny out, it was his mother that had made things worse for him. After his death, Johnny couldn't cope much anymore, he was used to being able to, but now his emotions were out of control. He starts to spiral downwards. The gang is with him the whole time and tries their hardest to keep him at his best, but Johnny becomes irrational, too unpredictable for the gang to even understand but Johnny doesn't go down alone, he brings someone with him.

She loved the gang and she would do anything for them. Her mother died when she was young and her father closed off from her. The gang knew about her dad but there was nothing they could do except being there for her. She's into smoking,nature,rainy days,music and boys. She's 16, same age as Johnny. When people thought of Madelyn they thought of cigarettes,her chipped red nail polish,chocolate milkshakes, and her wild ideas.
