Maeve didn't believe in fate until she was magically whisked away to a beautiful land of witches and warlocks. Although she longed to return home, she felt drawn to the enchanted village. Princess Emerald of Hexena believed that Maeve was brought to the land because she possessed a powerful piece of magic.

But the magical land isn't all sunshine and happiness; an assassin is looking to kill Maeve for reasons unknown. Emerald urged Maeve to stay and help protect the witches and warlocks of Hexena. When Maeve refuses to stay, Emerald promised her a huge fortune -which Maeve accepted-. 

 However, Maeve soon discovered dark secrets and hidden agendas that made her want to return home more than ever.
