A girl named Kehlani from Atlanta, Georgia, appears in this story. In an attempt to alter the course of events, she makes a trip to Kiawah Island in South Carolina, where her parents first met. Kehlani has planned to spend this summer in Atlanta with her friends, but due to a change of events, she will now have to spend her summer vacation in a small beautiful island where she knows no one.
