Is it safe? The main elevator was Ally's only way up to her apartment in New York City because the stairs were blocked off due to construction work. She thought the stairs would be safer but, she had no choice but to take the elevator instead. When she entered it alone, something happened that scared Ally to death. And of course, no one would believe her even if she tried. She wanted to tell somebody but, she was afraid that if she did then everyone around her would die. She had to protect everyone. Her best friend, her boyfriend, even the people she didn't know. Ally has to face her biggest fears to make it out alive. She has to survive whatever it is that is haunting her and her friends, will fear take over, will it make her go insane? What will happen if it's too late, when people she loves start dying around her? From strangers to her classmates to her closest friends. And who knows, Ally might not make it out alive. The world is ending. The Earth is painted with the blood of humans. Only zombies and monsters roam the lands now. But in the last standing building, 6 teenagers unexpectedly meet each other. Each helping another to survive the dangers of the what the world has become. They bond, they trust but Dream stands out from the others because she is strange and mutant-like. No one could fully trust her, not that it'd matter anyway because Dream trusts no one except herself. So, when they receive a message which sends them to the very top of the hotel. Floor 31. They are forced to fight and kill zombies and monsters just for a chance of safety. But does this 'safety' even exist?

Lucas was beyond annoyed. "Why'd you press that button?" He said, angrily. "It was an accident." "Well, we're stopped now. You pressed the stopping button." "Ok...can you undo it?" "Do I look like elevator maintenance?" "Fine!" She said with the same tone, as she pressed the red button on the elevator key. She assumed that the red button was for elevator maintenance. "What are you doing?!" Lucas exclaimed. "What?" "You just pressed the fire button. Now the fire department is going to show up!" "Well, how am I supposed to know?! I thought it was the help button." All of her tiredness went away in the heat of the moment. "Maybe open your eyes and read what it says." "Open my eyes?!" She was livid, so she let him have it. "I had two hours of sleep last night! Two! Because someone decided that they want to have a nightclub in their pent house...in the middle of the night! Oh and to add on that...I've been at work for the past eighteen hours! Eighteen! So don't start telling me to open my eyes and read what it says when you're the reason I am so sleep deprived and making mistakes!" Lucas just stared at her with a straight face and asked in the most serious tone, "Are you normal?"

At first, he thinks he is in a coma or in some kind of nightmare, but after starting to feel hungry and thirsty, he relices that maybe everything is real, and he needs to get out before is too late.
