Robert Pattinson has always needed to be independent and a loner to pursue his dreams as an actor. Despite coming from a wealthy family, he had to start over without any support to start his career and reach the status he has today as a world-famous actor with his own fortune. However, the cost of his success and fame has made him uninterested in most relationships, as everyone he approaches seems to have other intentions. Inexperienced actresses seek ease to get roles in his bed and fake friends seek some of the attention Robert always attracts.
With all this distrust, Robert begins to close himself off from the world. He just parties with his closest circle of friends and his sole focus is staying on top of the film industry, ignoring his past issues and focusing on the future. Until the moment when, forced by a friend to go out to a party, Robert meets Lydia, a shy waitress years younger than him who completely doesn't know him and is not at all interested in his money or popularity.
However, when Robert finally seems to have found someone he would risk everything for, figures from both of their pasts appear to try to stop them from staying together at all costs.
