Kai is a deadly freelance assassin who grew up on the crime filled streets of the capital city. He's an orphan who raised himself with no regard for human life. He and his group of misfits are known for taking on any mission, no matter the danger as long as they get a handsome reward. Although he knows this is his destiny, he feels as though there is a part of him locked away, with no way for him to set it free.
Each night he dreams of a young girl his age as beautiful as a princess. Over the course of time the two have become good friends who understand each other.
As fate would have it , Astrid and Kai are brought together when Astrid gets kidnapped by a rogue group of criminals looking to exploit her powers for their own gain. King Alistair is desperate to find his daughter and hires Kai,the most notorious assassin in all of Alovan to rescue his daughter.
What will happen when Kai and Astrid finally meet and find out that they're the ones from each others dreams and they've been lying to each other about who they were all along?
They race against the clock to rush back to safety and uncover the truth behind the golden cage, making unexpected allies and wicked foes. They wish also to find a cure to the mystery disease that has been plaguing the lands of Avalon in recent years. As they go they form a sense of attraction towards one another. Will this be their downfall or their key to success?
