The monkey trio are in Wukongs treasure room sorting his junk, when Mk finds an odd katana that catches his eye, Wukong , Macaque , and Mk are immediately transported to an unfamiliar place and Mk realizes that he is all alone.
Separated from his dads he joins Tanjiro in hopes that he find them before they get into trouble.
In the au Mk refers to SWK and Macaque as his dads (they aren't necessarily in a relationship tho... even tho i do ship it :0) also he is 12 and can transform into his monkey form :D

Sun Wukong sighed, letting his feet dangle off the edge of the ship, the wind was harshly blowing against him. Even when the ship was sitting still, the deserts wind was still harsh. Mk, sensing a new story to learn, sat down next to his mentor with excitement. Only when he saw the somber look did he realize the weight this story had on him. "Um... Who is she again?" Mk asked, rubbing the back of his neck, looking backwards to the rest of the crew. Sun Wukong grumbled words before shaking his head with a sigh. "Someone that I had accidentally mistreated." Mk turned back around as the rest of the crew got closer to listen in on Wukongs story. His tail was carefully tucked next to him as he rested his head in a palm. "She was just trying to do her job, but slowly her friends fell one by one. They were driven to insanity from the burden their job held. She was the strongest one, and she was the last to fall. She succumbed to her power, and it slowly ran through her. All I can say is that the last thing that remained of her was a pile of ash." Wukong slowly pulled a small looking urn.
