Decades. He'd wasted decades of his life doing what? Chasing the minuscule sparks of passion to ease the aching void in his chest? Wasn't there something better? Someone to guide him away from the misery? Distract him from the life he couldn't escape from? There were days he didn't know which way was up and where the sea began. Where the skies collided with the dirt and delved into the inferno of the hells. The whispers of creatures that should have had no interest in a mortal caressing the shell of his ears. Beings he believed to be just as mortal as himself and if one observed their flaws they might have been. Walking the city grounds and sailing the oceans as easily as anyone. Blockades of fire and ice prevented their hands from intertwining. Now he balanced atop the wall. Grabbing both with shaky arms and keeping them close. Please don't leave. Fangs and claws used to claim him. Gentle kisses and caresses to calm him. Breathless words pulled him deeper into the madness. Further into inky darkness speckled with blinding light. Granting him everything he never knew he'd wanted. A dream come reality. Strange how love could spark from pain. How fickle. And how much he only wanted more. ((Heelloooo, thanks for clicking. :3 Its been quite a bit since I've written anything but I wanted to try something new. AN ADOPTED WORK The little mermaid has been reborn. In his previous life, he trusted the wrong person, was sold as merchandise, and suffered a miserable fate. But in his new life, on the night he was drugged and almost met his end, he struggled to escape and ended up in the arms of a man. "Please save me..." Those beautiful eyes were filled with mist, the corners of his eyes were alluring, and his soft voice was full of pitiful pleading. The man, however, had a dark and brooding expression and stared at him for a long time. Only when the little mermaid was almost rendered helpless due to the effects of the drug did he finally say: "Alright." It is said that the blood of sea monsters can heal psychological trauma. So, the ruthless and stormy Marshal, who had been battered by mental storms, brought a little mermaid home. Everyone thought the little mermaid's fate was to have his blood drained and his body discarded in the wilderness. But later, someone saw... In the pouring rain, the Marshal held an umbrella by the car and bent slightly. No one knew what he said to the person inside, but they saw the half-opened car window being rolled down, and a fair little hand reached out and fiercely pinched the Marshal's ear, as if venting frustration. However, the Marshal, known for his cruelty and ruthlessness in the Empire's star domain, just smiled and then leaned down to give the person in the car a kiss. Very few people knew that the song of a mermaid was the true remedy for healing psychological trauma. In his previous life, the Marshal was the only one who extended a helping hand to the little mermaid. So, in this new life, he must ensure that the little mermaid avoids the predetermined path of death. This time, the entire universe is helping me to be with you. *In both lifetimes, they only have each other, and the little mermaid is reborn. ♪You can show your love and support to me by buying Kofi for me, link provided in the bio.
