Y/N Takeshi had the perfect life, and despite losing her mother at the age of 4. She had a loving father, two great older brothers, and and a nice home. They didn't have much, but in Y/N's view, and her life was perfect. Until the day it was taken away from her.

A demon had attacked their house, and one night. Her father and brothers were killed. Y/N was saved just in time by Serpent Hashira, Iguro Obanai. Obanai takes her in as his tsuguko. After attending a meeting with Kagaya Ubayashiki, Y/N meets The Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokitou. The two of them hit it off and start developing feelings for each other.

After becoming a demon slayer, Y/N meets Isamu Haruki, a Breath of Wind user. The two have a rocky start but end up relying on one another during the battle.

Later during the year, a new Hashira is introduced: Mitsuri Kanroji. Y/N notices Obanai's infatuation with her, and reflects upon her relationship with Muichiro. Nearing the end of the year, Y/N fully accepts her feelings for him duringa battle against a demon, along with Mitsuri, Obanai and Muichiro, after nearly dying.

The two become an official couple, but the celebration is cut short.....
