Kousei Arima, despite his musical talent, lived fourteen years of mostly devastation, with occasional respite with his "sister" Tsubaki and the notorious Watari.
At first, he attributed his change in spirit to the arrival of the capricious, passionate Kaori Miyazono.
But what if a kick from his childhood best friend and "sister" causes him to reframe things and transition into life without a certain blonde?
Credits to whomever created the photo of Tsubaki and Kousei; I created the frame and caption, but I did not do the editing to get Tsubaki and Kousei together this way.

His Lie in April - 四月の彼の嘘 (Shigatsu no Kare no Uso) (COMPLETE)
All of his life, Kousei Arima was a boy that was just about automatic as you could get when playing the piano. Then, one day, a free-spirited violinist comes into her life...... ....but then, Kousei finds out his fate may be in jeopardy. What will become of Kaori? Tsubaki? Watari? And most importantly, Kousei's rivals? Will Kousei be able to express his feelings towards Kaori, and can she save Kousei from his hell before it is too late? ----- As you can tell, this is an alternate retelling of Your Lie in April. But the fates have been reversed (and before you ask, Kousei is the ill one, not Kaori, who is far from that in this story), which will make for quite a gripping, if not heart-wrenching story, maybe more so than the original. ----- Please note, I do not write fanfics often, but I feel this is a story the needs to be told. I do hope you enjoy this story, however. "I met the girl under full-bloomed cherry blossoms, and my fate has begun to change..... .....but my fate may now be in jeopardy." ----- (BTW, the Japanese title substitutes one kanji for another. "Kimi" becomes "Kare".) Your comments regarding this story are welcome (but please, NO rude or degrading comments). Enjoy! :D First written January 2019, first published March 2019, completed June 2019 NOTE: The story is intended to be read as a theatrical film. This story is now COMPLETE as of June 2, 2019.Complete![Sunshine[H. Shoyo]✔️](https://img.wattpad.com/cover/255643932-256-k135367.jpg)

Symphony in the Sky (A Your Lie in April AU and AH fanfiction)
Warning: Violence and politically sensitive content. (Alternate Universe and Alternate History) Arima Kousei never dreamed to become a pilot and neither most of his friends. It has been three years since Miyazono Kaori passed away, and he had fully moved on. In Okutsu Musical High School, he fell in love once again, with Igawa Emi, his piano rival, and won many competitions and played in a number of concerts as well. His dream to enter the professional music world seemingly will be fulfilled in no time.. But everything changed when he graduated high school. A significantly less-isolated North Korea declared war to South Korea and Japan. Soon, despite the mutual defense treaty with the US, fearing an all out war, the Japanese government decide to institute it's first conscription since World War 2, both men and women. Kousei, Emi, Tsubaki, Watari, and Takeshi honored the call and joined the Japanese Self-Defense Forces, which then exchanged it's name to full fledged "military" the Japanese National Military Forces (JNMF). The newly remilitarized Japan soon joined it's main ally, the United States, in a "coalition of the willing" of Asia-Pacific countries and NATO member states, to bring the war into North Korea. South Koreans are holding well but the North Koreans were soon reinforced with volunteer forces and advanced military equipments from mainly China, Venezuela, Cuba, and last but not least, Iran, which exacted it's toll into the former's military power. There is only one objective, reunify Korea at all costs under the democratic South. Will they be able to bring victory to Japan and the Free World? Would they survive? Pairings: Kousei Arima x Emi Igawa and Tsubaki Sawabe x Watari Ryota Update: Now available in fanfiction.net with the same title! Notes: For obvious reasons, in this story, Kousei didn't have any vision defects so no glasses.Complete
