From outsiders they are a nice successful family, living in Hawaii, who are always able to get along. The fifteen year old living with a loving mother and older siblings who would do anything for her.
But they aren't able to see how the mother is rarely home; and the rest of the sibling are trying to live there life. Leaving Thea, to live off of leftover takeout in the fridge and the monthly groceries her eldest brother brings.
And the hope that someday someone will truly care for her enough to stay.
