Two families, one secret, and one chance to make it all right.

The Ferrara and Caruso families are two of the most powerful families in New York. Their rivalry is a well-known fact, and it's been like that forever. The Ferraras always hated the Carusos, and vice versa.

17 years ago, something happened, and the two families were bound together. Their hatred for each other was cast aside in an attempt to protect what both families held dear to their hearts.

Sophia Diaz is a 16-year-old girl who lives with her caretakers. She isn't being treated well, and she is praying for the day when she will be able to leave and start her life somewhere far away. She knows about her family, who gave her up, but she doesn't want to see them ever again. If they loved her, they would have never left her with the monsters she was living with. Right?

What will happen when someone finds out about Ferrara and Caruso's hidden treasure? Will the families unite to protect it, or will the treasure be taken away from them?

Life is difficult. That's no secret. It's something that Marlowe learned at a young age. At 17 years old, she is an accomplished student and one of the underworld's most feared assassins. Though, it's not as nice as it seems. She is desperate for a way out. And eventually she finds one through the Italian Mafia. Is it the most conventional? No. But is it better than her current situation? Also most likely no. But seeing as it make her life something more than just killing, she jumps at the first chance she gets. Marlowe quickly learns that secrets in mafia families run deeper than she will ever realize. And perhaps she discovers a little more than she was expecting.
