A young prince always enjoyed his birthdays as a kid, until one went wrong. He now suffers in fear of sleeping, wanting to stay vigilant. Will he find some sunshine in the darkness? Will he learn that it's okay to sleep again?

Her own way
War. One act of violence tore families apart and sent royalty into hiding. Fleeing from the burning ruins of her home, Princess Katrina and her mother are forced into hiding, leaving behind all that they knew only for it to be taken away again. Left alone and afraid, an incident forces the very young princess to lose her memories and forget all about who she is and where she belongs. Discovered by a woodsman and his son, she becomes a member of the family. Raised with love and care, she yearns to run free in the forest until one day men come searching for the lost princess. An attack on her family sends her deep into the forest where all her troubles seem to begin. Now she is trying desperately to get back to where she belongs. She will encounter many difficulties but no matter what she keeps trying to be true to herself and find her own way home. ***A/N*** I did have a different description, and tags. All of this story is my own work, stemming from a short story I wrote for a fb game competition back in 2011 which is the only story that should have similarities! She looks up at me, taking a step forward and smiling slightly, "How can I ever get hurt when I have you here to protect me?" "But you could have gotten hurt," I murmur softly, hanging my head and feeling my shoulders drop, the tension seeping from my body. "No. Stop," She cuts me off sternly but tenderly, "Don't talk like that, Reece. I'm okay, you're okay, we're okay," She speaks softly, reaching her hand up to gently brush her thumb over my cheek, just under the cut that's there. "We're okay," I repeat, taking a small step closer to her. She nods with a small smile, moving her hand down from my cheek and instead placing the palm of her hand on my chest, right over my heart. I know she can feel how fast my heart is beating. I just don't know why it's doing that. ~ Reece Carter is the bad boy of Northwood High. He smokes and he fights. It's been three years since Sophie moved in with her older brothers, it's been three years since her mother passed away and she has been growing and changing in the last three years. Sophie is about to be fifteen years old and has she get's older, she realizes how much her mother will miss out on. The future she has, her mother won't be around to see it. Her grief has reappeared after she believed she had gotten better. For Sophie's brothers, it's been three years if learning how to be the best brothers they can be for Sophie. It's been three years of nightmares and panic attacks, of fear that keeps their little sister locked in her room. It's been three years of trying to help their sister. Now, she's fifteen and dealing with a lot both on the inside and the outside. The first book is being rewritten so it will be different than what this book is about. I will get around to rewriting this book as well but not right now. I'm changing quite a few things about the original story and I will be editing Being Their Little Sister also so they match. For the moment, My Older Brothers has been taken down for editing and I will start putting the chapters back up after I've edited the chapters.
