The gnawing, empty feeling in the pit of my stomach was a feeling very well known to me. The pain in my constantly moving legs never left. The nightmares, memories, and flashbacks haunted me. Sleep for more than two hours was forbidden if I wanted to survive. Peace was a feeling unknown to me. I was trapped inside the cage of my past. I couldn't leave. I was a prisoner of my mind.
