John is a normal boy, until he steps through a portal and finds himself in a strange land filled with wonders and dangers. Lost and alone, he meets a talking tree who offers to help him find his way back home. But to do so, John must follow his joy and face his fears. Along the way, he encounters creatures he never imagined, like a giant butterfly with rainbow wings, and a tiny bird with a beak like a sword. He also learns that the key to finding his way back home is to trust himself and the magic of the world around him.
