She wakes up in a hospital with no memory, and only a hazy idea how she got there, but this isn't your typical case of amnesia. There is something bigger going on, the key to which lies somewhere among the broken shards of her mind. Her parents brought photographs and witness testimony, trying to tell her that she's just a normal girl, but things get more complicated when the police run her fingerprints. Two identities, but neither of them feel right. Nothing does, except for a mysterious boy who everyone tells her was just a figment of her imagination. At first all she wants to do is remember, but she is prone to acts of violence and at times unable to control her anger. Although she longs to see the friends she leaves behind in her dreams, she becomes fearful of who she used to be, and what she'll find in her own mind. The unnamed girl is torn, fearful for her sanity, and plagued by nightmarish flashbacks. Who can she turn to when the few things she does remember would sound ridiculous if spoken aloud? Who can she trust, as it becomes apparent that she's involved in something much bigger than they'd ever feared?

[18+] A nondescript duffel bag appears in Times Square, its tag bearing one urgent instruction: call the Avengers. Inside, they find a woman with no identity and no memory... and bioluminescent tattoos on her back spelling three names: Rogers, Romanoff, Stark. Natasha can't shake the feeling she's seen this woman before. Tony believes she's a long-lost Stark sibling. And Steve finds himself drawn to her resilience and mystery, even when questions about her loyalties loom. Torn between fragments of a past she can't remember and the promise of a future with the Avengers, Y/N must uncover the truth of her own existence before it destroys everyone she's come to care about. **PLEASE NOTE** This story leans heavily toward mutants in power and human experimentation during South Africa's Apartheid era. These elements are presented as part of the dystopian world-building and are not intended to romanticise or trivialise the real historical trauma of Apartheid or racial discrimination!
