"If the world was ending, you'd come over right?" I looked at him eagerly to finish the lyrics, but he just raised an eyebrow at me.
I huffed in frustration at his blank expression, "Are you gonna finish the lyrics or not?"
"If the world was really ending, we'd be in too much of a panic to think of anything besides survival," he shrugged and laid back in his chair, but I wasn't having it.
"Why do you have to be so rational?" I huffed as I folded my hands and pouted like a child would.
Yep, a seventeen-year-old child. Nothing to see here people.
"Why do you enjoy being irrational?" he huffed, mimicking me.
"You're an ass," I spat, not looking at him.
"Yet you still love me. Don't you, Belly?"
I could feel my cheeks redden in anger at the nickname, but I wasn't budging. I could practically feel his smirk, if that was possible, and I wasn't giving him the satisfaction of a reaction.
"Don't worry, you don't have to say it. And I love your ass too".
I felt my eyes about to bulge out of their sockets and hid my head between my legs, trying my best to hide my face, while he laughed hysterically.
I'm sure if Clifford could see me right now, he'd bow in submission to my superior colour. Either that, or give me a shower with his tongue, whichever comes first.

"Levon." Todd answered, voice hard. "Todd." Levon responded just as coolly. There was a pause. "Are you busy?" "I just got back from class," Todd said. Todd asked when Levon failed to form a sentence, and Levon realized how out of character it was for him to call Todd. There a was a layer of concern just under Todd's indifferent tone, and the protectiveness that seemed ever present in Todd when they were younger and Todd was always saving Levon from his problems. Levon's anger seemed to melt away at that familiar sense of security. "I'm good," Levon spoke finally and a soft smile spread over his lips. "Are you good?" "I'm good," Todd said gruffly. "Are we good?" Levon asked and Todd scoffed. "What we. There is no we. We're not friends." "Wouldn't want you as a friend anyway," Levon snickered. "You're kind of an asshole."
