As the long days drag on by, Athena struggles to survive in a world full of hatred, lies and suffrage. She, along with her younger sister Keira, roam the streets of Pyke; a forgotten city burned to the ground after the rebellion. After the death of her parents, who evoked the rebellion against the capital, Athena vowed to not let the past interfere with the life she is to undertake.
While off hunting a fews good hares, Athena stumbles upon a remote village. Suspecting that no one is around, she sneaks into the broken down huts looking for necessary items, that is until she finds herself in a heap of trouble. Out from the shadows emerge human like figures, masked with darkness and their stench, stomach churning.
Dumfounded as she was, Athena bolted, gaining the attention of the unknown figures and soon they were on her tail. As she makes her way through the trees, she trips over a ledge and crashes into a pit below. Three large creatures materialize from the darkness, mauling the incoming enemies. When she awakens, Athena finds herself face to face with beautiful blue eyes.
Will these creatures treat her the same as the The Fallen, or will they aid her? What effect will this have on her and Keira's lives? And will they be able to put an end to darkness that engulfed the world they know?
