Random ideas I've had about the future of the world. Good scenarios and bad. Realistic and not so realistic. All of these will be short stories 1-3 parts and will vary in style, tone, setting, theme, pov, etc.
I'm using this as a way to experiment with different writing styles and to shorten my idea list by getting rid of the ones I've been avoiding because I don't have enough ideas for them.
DISCLAIMER: I'm not an expert I'm not claiming to be. Take everything with a grain of salt. These are mainly just my opinions and ideas. If I'm wrong about something, tell me. Just don't be a dick about it.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY meets THE HANDMAID'S TALE with a bit of WESTWORLD weaved in Four women, fresh out of a super secret governmental experiment, are dragged back into the laboratory where they lived--to save the world from the specimens they helped produce. ***** It's 2050, and the world--in particular the not-so-United States of America--has undergone a lot of changes. A dictator who refuses to relinquish his presidential power reigns over the country, and humans--especially women--see their rights diminished more and more each day. Some are forced to enter special programs to stay safe from men who seek to harm them, and others accept to be part of freaky experimental trials in back-alley labs for a bit of cash to pay the rent. He answered ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Being an orphan, you don't have a lot of experience's or happy memories. Especially if your orphanage uses you for human experiments. The pain...the agony- the screams of the other kids I once called friends and played with...all gone and replaced with despair. Only teddy could keep me company and keep me sane. Till one day, a new boy was brought in and he was strange. But he interested the kids, even the scientists. He was placed in my room and he never spoke a word to anyone. He would wake up in the middle of the night and gasp for air like if there never was any. But he was my friend. Things changed and a few years later, the orphanage was attacked. Two people came in and killed the scientists but spared the children. While making an attempt to escape, I was caught by the remaining scientists and taken away. The screams of my friend echoing behind me as I tried to escape... Such a waste as I became strong and have long forgotten those memories. But side effects came with the experiments they played with. SECOND DRAFT: Hard Bank Left
I am republishing this for a friend who wanted to read a sample of my work. The plot is all over the place, but I know I'll revisit it in future. I initially wrote this in 2017 before I knew a lot of things I know now. There's a lot in here that is culturally insensitive. I have done my best to edit out what I could find at first glance, but if you see something glaringly offensive please make a comment about it so that I can correct my errors. The most egregious example that comes to mind is using the G-word for the Romani and relying on unflattering stereotypes. I plan to correct a lot of this in proceeding drafts. Dystopia Rising
The world ended long ago, riddled with plague and zombies and destruction. But humanity survived, and humanity evolved. The Infection that helped bring the world to its knees also changed humans in ways to help them keep living in this now broken world ready to be rebuilt. Seven lineages with three strains each, and each have their own unique set of traits that help us survive. But that's not what this story is about-at least, not really. This story isn't about how a hero will rise and bring the world back to what it was Pre-Fall. This story is about me, an ordinary Remanat living life through the world day to day as a mercenary. A beginner mercenary as everyone likes to remind me. The others in my group have been calling me 'Rookie' since I joined them three months ago. I'm beginning to wonder if they actually know my name. We have been hired to help the New Reach Caravan travel across the wastelands to Philly Del Phia, and this is the perfect opportunity to show them that I'm not just a dumb Rookie. I'm actually quite good at my job. I just happen to get distracted by one certain Eight-Ball, but it's not my fault he's good-looking, and charming, and funny... Anyway, all I have to do is help my group get the caravan to Del Phia. Should be an easy enough job. Just avoid the zoms and keep clear of the Raiders, and we should be fine... Right? Xalune - Echoes from the past
In a dystopian world, where the strongest prevails, having peace is a luxury. Especially when someone from the past is out to destroy everything we have built up over the past 15 years. And with Christmas approaching, our group get to face ten hellish days. Preview: In his fury, the chains have rubbed his wrists and neck raw, despite me trying to calm him down. He suddenly calms down when the screams in the cell next to us switch to the sound of bones breaking. Now he sits with foam on his lips and his eyes wide, looking that way. After ten minutes, the sounds of the boys in our cell have died down, and we all look at the wall that separates us from the crackling of the breaking bones. And then suddenly all is quiet. After a few silent minutes, our cell door opens slowly. From the ball of light from the ceiling, the little girl in the doorway is illuminated. She is completely covered in blood and doesn't move. Then she opens her eyes and carefully walks towards us. And despite everything, my first impulse is to crawl backwards, away from the unnatural calm radiating from her. ------------- After reading yet another great older brothers/younger sister story, where the family gets reunited after years of separation, the sister keeps the secret that she was abused and assaulted all along, and the brothers conceal their work in the mafia, I decided to give it also a try. The output of my story was initially to turn this around with openness and unconditional support and the torture should happen right in front of their very eyes. Because no story is complete without the (un)necessary bloodshed, action, humour and, of course, a bad guy. And who knows, to throw everything completely upside down, the main character may not survive. I won't write warnings above each chapter, because most of them contain violence, blood, torture, etc. Constructive criticism is welcome. Ow, and English is not my first, second or third language. So if I mess up somewhere, let me know!
My Glide On Death
The year was 2098. I was a spacecraft and jet pilot during an era of relative peace. No robotic apocalypses, no zombie outbreaks, no meteor showers-nothing of the sort. Humanity had even established a presence on Mars. Yet, beneath this calm, a sinister force was thriving on the Red Planet. Whispers of a terrorist organization began circulating, hidden within the colonies. Now, they have completely seized Mars for their own dark motives. This group, The Mars Philanthropics (MP), had a name steeped in irony. They claimed to be "lovers of mankind," but in reality, they were far from benevolent. Their so-called charitable mission concealed a darker agenda. I wasn't a member of the military. Instead, I led my own organization-TAF (Terrorist Annihilator Force). Though small in size, we boasted the most seasoned and capable operatives. When the government realized the extent of MP's influence, they turned to us for help. This wasn't just another mission-it was a call to action against the most pervasive terrorist group in history. I'm regarded as the best spacecraft pilot, but this mission will challenge everything I've ever known. But now I face a choice more difficult than any before: let my friends-who are like a family for me-die or kill a family member who is nothing more than a stranger to me. Will I complete the mission? Or will the shadows consume us all? Only time-and fate-will reveal the answers. (Updated once in a week atleast)
Life Or Story ?
This story kind of explains why I have problems finishing stories, u have ideas then it like how do I make them not so cliché or cringe worthy. A short story with a semi finished ending, it leaves me a bit of wriggle room to add to, if I decide to. Any similarities or references are purely for fiction and I did not base this story on anything except if the third world war started. It is fiction people. All credit to the original owners or creator's for the borrowed characters and media. I own the story and the original characters. The Hawaiian Special Forces
This is the story I'm writing for NaNoWriMo 2015. The goal: 50,000 word RAW draft written entirely in the month of November. Unlike most of my stories, which I prefer to edit before posting, I'm actually going to post updates to this at the end of each day in chapter-sized chunks. The idea behind this story is that a terrorist attack in the near future causes the US to go hyper-isolationist, to the point that it abandons Hawaii and Alaska to fend for themselves. They do, forming the United Pacific States (maybe with a few other island countries). Hawaii then goes on to turn itself into the new world police with stealthy, genetically modified cyber-soldiers. I'm marking this story as mature because there will be action scenes, and probably some interesting perspectives on nudity and relationships. I'm not planning on anything explicit, but this won't be a kids book. Validated winner at 50,040 words!Lengkap
Universal Warfare
Hi there, I'm JD, a 31-year-old Venezuelan-Spanish Economist living in Barcelona with my Russian (pro-peace) wife Anna and our two kittens; we met in Italy eight years ago, and almost since then we have been working on this project. During our careers we've worked with people from South America to Japan, from Australia to Canada, from South Africa to Norway, the characters in the novel are based on people I was lucky enough to meet along the way who left me with invaluable lessons which we feel the duty and privilege of sharing with our fellow humans, hopefully sharing what cosmologists call "Space Bias". There are seven main protagonists each one with their own chapter - which can be read in whichever order you prefer, - two of them in present tense and the rest in past, it's all part of the story. They all have mixed backgrounds such as a Japanese father and a Taiwanese mother, a survivor of the Rwanda massacre, a Colombian with Lebanese and Portuguese ancestry, a Danish whose mother is German, a Jewish lady married to a Muslim man she met in Jerusalem, an Anglo-Indian guy inspired in a way in Orwell - character name is Arthur such as Orwell's real name, - and last but definitely not least a Turkish Muslim bisexual woman for which a Lebanese friend for work is providing help; my friend is working on her Ph.D. on gender inequality in politics, especially in countries with religious civil wars that have moved from the streets to parliament. The story's Universe - 7 trillion light-years, approximately 78 times the size of our observable universe and 252 times the size of a Hubble sphere - provides more than enough civilizations to present dystopias that can serve as warnings for the future - ideally in the style of 1984, A Brave New World, or Fahrenheit 451, - as well as utopias where we find A.E.I - Artificial Emotional Intelligence - along with futuristic ways of understanding childhood, education, and life itself.Lengkap
Runaway
I've been on the run for three years. I'm not the first, but I certainly won't be the last. For as long as I can remember, I had been experimented on, drugged to the brink of insanity, and tortured by someone I thought was my family. Boy, was I wrong. This isn't one of those stories where I suddenly get a huge boost of courage and defeat the bad guys then live happily ever after. I don't believe in that stuff anymore. Instead, I was a coward, and ran for my life, for my freedom, because I was too afraid to stand and fight and risk losing control like the monster they had created me to be. I've been too many people, have moved too many times. Now, I wonder if I will finally be able to find a place to call home... I won't allow myself to be captured before I even have a chance at that.
