Seven dragonets have been trapped in a cave ever since hatching. Twelve years. And by now, Winterstorm is sick of this. He will escape one day with his other friends, and they will be free into the world.

Winterstorm plans to tackle each and every individual problem, as a mere snowflake, one by one, and he could be on the right path, on a plan that will work.

But when him and one of his friends, Sunquail actually DO escape, his entire world is flipped upside down. Millions of things he thought he knew comes crashing into him, faster then he can fly. Before he knows it, he is captured by the worst enemy- Queen Skylight.

Before he can blink, he is on a painful track, all his secrets are exposed, and he discovers he has the worst thing a queen could have under her claws- Animus powers.
