It's hard for Mari to be a part of something. But when she connects with music it's like she's in another world. Playing and never stopping. She could almost go on forever. But with reality hitting her back its hard to stay in that world. With school, and teachers, teasing, and parents shoving growing up down her throat, its hard for her to anything. Anything besides writing music. That's the one thing that she can always do. And no one will ever stop her from doing that.

Callie's life has never been easy. Never. But she doesn't care. She will deal. Unlike most, she chooses to accept her life rather than change it. Why even bother? She knows exactly how the world works. It's a cold place that will never cut you a break. It's the kind of place that keeps on kicking you even when you are already down. No one is there to help you. No one even cares. No one ever cares and anyone who says otherwise is lying or wants something from you. But none of that is able to explain Marina, a sweet, funny little girl who still believes that the world, that people can be good even after her own tragedy. She believes in magic and fairytales. And most importantly she believes that everyone, even Callie deserves a second chance. How can all of those things about the world be true when Marina keeps proving otherwise?
