Since he was a kit, Ripplepaw has protected the warrior code, been loyal to RiverClan, and had grown up in a happy family. Everything changes when he meets Tigerpaw, a WindClan apprentice, and the two become good friends. Even worse, Ripplepaw's senses are being flooded with fish and water, enough to sustain his whole Clan for moons. Desperate to help his Clan, Rippletuft, now a warrior, leaves Tigerpaw and takes a mate from his own Clan. Everything seems to be going fine. But when Flipstar unexpectedly dies, Rippletuft is the new leader, and will his old decisions come back to bite him? Or can he lead RiverClan through one of its hardest times ever?
