The humans who landed on the little planet had nearly lost all hope until they stumbled upon unknown ancient ruins beneath the planet's surface where they discovered untold amounts of bizarre advanced technology. Earth and humanity were saved, and the little planet to thank for their salvation was named Umbra. Alice is a xenoarchaeologist, her passion in life has always been the study of ancient cultures, and now she has the opportunity to study the most ancient one of them all. The very one that modern Human civilization was built on. Alice and her boyfriend accepted a posting on the famous and ancient ship, the U.S.S.A Umbra.

But when humanity masters nature, this necessity vanishes. With no war, famine, or struggle, cooperation dissolves. Robots and AI take over all labor, while science frees women from biological dependence on men, allowing reproduction through stem-cell technology. Men are no longer needed for survival, yet they are not entirely discarded, kept instead as sentimental pets. This is the final form of feminism: a system that abandons equality under the guise of progress, reducing men to a perpetual loop of servitude. They have tried making underwater pockets so people can live under the sea, but the underwater pockets are too fragile to maintain and easily every citizen can drown. Hope was almost given up. Until scientists found a planet only couple light years away that is a sister planet to Earth. No one has ever been on this planet before and is unsure what will people find there. So on the year B18, all children born within that year were taken from their families and sent into a spaceship to be trained and prepared for the landing of this new planet. Samantha and her squad are flying through space and preparing themselves both mentally and physically for the adventures of this new planet. No one knows what is going to happen when the spaceship lands on this foreign land.
