Juniper's life seemed simple enough. Work on the farm left little time for her to do anything else, but she didn't mind. She felt more herself out planting seeds and tending to the vegetation. Aside from the occasional runaway cow, everything seemed normal. That is until she meets Ron.

Juniper's life turns upside down the minute she meets the strange boy with the gray hair. Things get even stranger when they are rescued by her Middle School principal and driven up north against their will.
