When Edward and Winry were kids, they've both went through difficult times such as losing their families at the same time, making their bond stronger than normal childhood friendships.
When one of them came back broken, the other was there to care and support.
Now that they've both grown up, they would each finally face the troubles of their past.
One will fight with a blazing heart while the other will keep on picking the broken pieces trying desperately to fix it.
