Eva didn't expect to wake up. But she did. She blinked, staring up at the gray sky. Something rumbled in the distance, and Eva knew something had changed. In the world, but also within herself. A gust of wind blew, brushing against her cheek, a gentle caress. Eva felt her body lifting, and in a second she was high in the sky, overviewing the broken wasteland.
Any other person would have been shocked. But not eva. As she observed the ruins, a sort of smile- not exactly happy, but there was pride in it- came up on her face. It was time she created her new kingdom.
