Eros, the revered son of Aphrodite, has been known for his unerring arrows that ignite love in the hearts of those they strike. However, his world is changed forever when Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, seething with envy of a mortal princess named Psyche, whose beauty is said to rival her own, orders Eros to exact revenge on her. As Eros tries to carry out his mother's orders, he finds himself drawn to Psyche's radiant beauty and kindness. Each time he attempts to release an arrow, his usually steady hand betrays him, leaving him unable to fulfill his duty. The god of love, ironically, begins to experience the overwhelming power of love that he has so often bestowed upon others. Observing this unusual predicament is Eros' brother, Himeros, the god of desire. Perceiving Eros' blossoming affection for Psyche, Himeros takes matters into his own hands. In a divine twist of fate, Himeros uses Eros' own arrows to force him to confront and embrace his deep-seated feelings for Psyche. Thus sending Eros on a mission of his own, winning Psyche's heart.
