Two college students live in a world divided into two categories based on a mark resembling an animal that is received at the age of thirteen. If a person receives a mark that symbolizes a predator, they are considered dangerous and must stay on one side of the school, as well as in different establishments and jobs than the people with prey marks. On the other hand, a person with a prey mark is seen as weak and has the same level of separation as the predators. Certain jobs are prohibited from having anyone with predator or prey symbols, for example, predators are not allowed to work in the medical field, and prey are not allowed to join the police force. Moreover, it is completely prohibited for those with predator and prey symbols to be romantically involved, regardless of the circumstances.
