Just before Esmeralda's hanging, Frollo decides to give her a last chance to choose him over the gallows. Being devastated from the events, what if she accepts?
Mostly based on the book but contains some elements from the Disney movie. Anyone who has read/seen either of them can follow. The first half (chapters 1-23) focuses on Frollo/Esmeralda while the second half focuses on Quasimodo/Esmeralda.

Judge Claude Frollo, enough said. Ever since I read a version of the Hunchback of Notre Dame I had praised Victor Hugo for his work. But when I decided to watch the movie? Well...let's just say I was screaming at how they has basically messed up a wonderful story, turning it from a tragic love story into what Disney does best, a movie that barely relates to the original source which was an ugly duckling story. In the book Quasimodo was a depressed figure at times with a temper at times but in the movie he's the hero, singing songs from Alen Menken! (No offence to him, his music is great) But no matter how much I found the movie an awful adaptation I couldn't help but become intrigued with really the only interesting character in the movie, Judge Claude Frollo. What made him different? Well he was a tragic figure, one of the church (I've accumulated an interest in the combats of religion) and for everything he did wrong, he tried to praise it as what God wanted. unique, scary and just plain perfect I couldn't help but start to write fanfic about this Prime Minister of Injustice. But the problem was I despised Esmeralda so I came up with an OC (original character) for him. Her name is Healia and her parents come from Greece before moving to Paris and being murdered, leaving little Healia alone. Luckily the gypsies found her and raised her as their own. This is their story together where Frollo, still quite young, tries to find out his true feeling for the little girl as she works for one year in his house due to an agreement. It was something Viggo thought would give him a chance to find rest, but little did he know about the politics he would get dragged into. Even less did he know about the marriage he would be forced into; a marriage he has no interest in as he's been in a relationship with another man for a long time. Justice is Swift But Vengeance is Sweeter (A Judge Frollo Fanfiction)
Hello! If you know me I absolutely Victor Hugo's Hunchback of Notre Dame but believe the disney take that came out in 1996 did the book wrong in many ways. One being one of the biggest characters in the book, Claude Frollo. I don't hate the movie, just believe they portrayed him in a very vicious and bloodthirsty way, completely opposite to the book. But no matter, he's an amazing, deep, original character and I think he deserves some fanfic. So I've taken it upon myself to write a version of the movie all my own and if you've read my other story ("The Servant of Judge Frollo") then you'll know I've been busy. This one however is a little more twisted with new characters and a darker plot. It all starts when Judge Frollo is told the very last thing he wants to hear. He is getting help from a foreigner who has ties to the king named Nikolas to control the larger gypsy population. Frollo and Nikolas cannot stand each other but decided upon a plan to infiltrate the Court of Miracles and capture the gypsies once and for all! But will love and jealousy get in the way? Especially when Healia and Esmeralda get involved? A fanfic filled with hopeless love, lies and bitter truths I really hope you all will enjoy this new fanficion. Please read and review!!! Esme had one big fear in life: being captured as a thief by the city's guardsmen and being executed for her crimes, and that so heavily weighed on her mind that she increased her risks by being distracted in the middle of a heist. That's when she runs into Althalos Fourthborn: Inner Circle Guardsman, one of the many princes of the realm, an Aelif (Dark Elf, local dialect)...and her betrothed by treaty. (That was something her almost human mind could not handle.) So she calls off the heist, gets demoted into a far more risky job, learns the true bitter depth of what this treaty's bond is like, and lands safely by her prince's side....sort of. There were people who still wanted to end her life, even if she was in what most people would call a Happily Ever After. That and her prince had his own living fears that were gnawing at any chance they had. That and she might just lose her mind from everyday boredom. But the one she couldn't wrap her all-too human mind around was that she would one day grow wings and fly away from her almost Happily Ever After to live in a hive with ancestors more alien than a hottie with pointed ears and abandonment issues. ~~~~ Yes, there are adult themes in this book, and difficult subjects, but nothing is excessive, as this is probably my simplest story. So, trigger warnings: A history of assault. Occasional vulgar language. References to partial cannibaliam. Extremely mild, light, and rare sex scenes.
