The big book of meet cutes

"Wait-" she peered over the edge of her seat which had her securely strapped in so she wouldn't fall to gruesome death being at the peak of the 50ft high Ferris wheel.
"Why did it stop moving?!" She demanded.

From beside her, he couldn't resist the laughter that bubbled from within him.
"Why are you always mad about something?"

She snapped her head to his and couldn't help the heat that spread across her face. Of all the people she could be seated with, it had to be him.
"Shut up." She muttered and felt the weight of the situation hit her.
She was stuck beside him. She didn't even want to be seated here in the first place but her friends had dared her to. They said she never had any fun and when she tried to protest, they said she should prove she was capable of having fun by sitting next to the school outcast on the Ferris wheel.
Despite better judgement, she went ahead with it and now she was here. With him. Stuck on a Ferris wheel.
"I can't wait to get away from you." She stared longingly at the ground. Her friends scattered among the crowd gaping skyward at her. Now look what their quest for fun had gotten her into!

"I, on the other hand, am very ecstatic to be seated next to you." She glared at him and couldn't even make out if he was being sarcastic or not. His smile made it seem like he was being genuine but his eyes held a wicked gleam.

'Oh God...' she thought.

Just then, a loud announcement came in.
There were technical issues that needed to be fixed but all would be resolved within an hour.

The boy chuckled again.
"Now you're stuck with me for an hour. I promise not to creep you out."
