However, the Lord has other plans. You see, Jake is on a broad path. One that leads to destruction. His desire to "just live life" gives him the excuse to act reckless and disregard all responsibility and authority. If he continues down this path, it will lead him to ruin.
The Lord sees this, of course, and does not forsake him. Jesus leaves the ninety-nine for the one, focusing His attention on Jake to lead him to the strait & narrow path. Despite the fact that Cameron has grown up in church, he is absolutely convinced that there is no God. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me.
