Following the main protagonist of the thief turned atlestian huntress, Vera Catalina. Cost Of Revenge tells the story of the atlestian mission known as operation Blackthorn. An operation where Vera and her mentor, Leonardo Aryl travel to the kingdom of Mistral to aid to aid in putting a stop to rising rebellion calling themselves the Blackthorn Rebellion, a group that's hellbent on overthrowing the current kingdoms hierarchy to put a stop to the corruption of the rich and their supposed "huntsman lapdogs" and to transform it into a truly free kingdom. The leader of this rebellion is man known as Malachi Hazelbrook, a high value target on the atlas militaries wanted list for crimes against the kingdom as well as Vera's previous partner in crime from back when they were thieves on the streets of Mantle. Vera, who sought revenge against Malachi after he was responsible for cutting off Vera's left arm in a fated battle in the freezing tundra of Solitas not long after Vera left the life of crime to become a huntress. However she soon finds herself working alongside an old order who have remained hidden in the shadows of the kingdoms for many years after it comes to light her mentor wasn't all that he seems...
