Elorra Steinbeck has worked in her grimy uncle's tavern since she was old enough to serve ale. It paid the bills, most days, and the patrons weren't all bad. Save for Tarit, who's hands always found a way to tug at her skirts. Nevertheless, she relished in the tales of adventure and daring quests the men would tell, particularly from Finnrick. He was ruggedly handsome, paid her no mind, and had the most outlandish stories.
Elorra finds herself drawn to him, pining for a taste outside the confines of the tavern, and her humdrum town. And when Finnrick is about to leave for months on end again, she wants to go too. Only, she has no money, definitely no survival instinct, and Finnrick is annoyed by her ignorance. The dangers of the outside are merciless, and he has no intention of "baby-sitting" a foolish girl. However, she would be good company for this next task of his. Not to mention she'd make the perfect bait....
