He believed that his parents knew best. Mk is an optimistic extrovert, who can do anything if he believes in it. Everyone thinks he's just like before getting his powers but.. he's not. He struggles with PTSD and severe trauma. He thinks everything that happened was his fault, and he lives scared that he'll do another stupid thing that'll change the world to worse. Even tho he really wants to be friends with Red Son, he's scared that he'll make another persons life worse because of him. Even after those thoughts, he still will do anything to help those in need. Besides, you live halfway across the city and you have training with your mentor, this isn't something you couldn't just throw away with ease. Upon the third call though, you finally folded, as the desperation in your fathers voice was evident and you were tired of being, what you'd like to call, a shitty daughter. So, you told your mentor about your knew schedule, to which he was more than happy to adjust his schedule as well, he seemed more than happy oddly enough. Though you felt off about leaving him to take care of your pets, you had no one else to trust, so you just left him with them. Red Son has been developing something off of his fire powers, they seem to be more heated, even more for his own liking. At some point, he has an outburst and his fire erupts into colored flames which scares him, he swears that it even hurt him. Red son gets scared of himself and worries about his parents, not wanting to hurt them. So he runs away with as much as he could carry and runs into Mk. After some convincing Red son decides to go with Mk but the longer he stays the more feelings he catches for Mk, and the more risk of putting him in danger. all the art featured is done by me it's slow-burn but it gets there at some point :DComplete
