Jason is the quarterback of the school's American football team, and Jade is an athletic girl who practices karate and is admired by everyone when she arrives at the new school. They are twins.
Meanwhile, Amanda and Ronald are both considered nerds. Amanda is an overweight, bullied girl who feels like nothing good will ever happen to her. Ronald is a very skinny, bullied boy who has never had a girl show interest in him and has trouble standing up for himself or his sister. They are also twins.
