97 years since humanity has step foot on the earth, 100 prisoners are sent to the very ground they've been missing. Only, they're just the lab rats that are seeing whether or not the earth is habitable since the nuclear apocalypse that landed them just outside of the earth's orbit in space. But, there's more than 100.
Maeve, the notable prisoner for her attitude, lands herself smack in the middle of the drop ship. However she may think that no one here is willing to do the things needed to survive, her best friend to whom she hasn't seen in months stowed away.
Thea is the one who always was responsible and kind hearted. Even though she might have done some illegal things before, thanks to Jasper and Monty, she always seems level headed and smart. After watching an event that would get a guy floated, she gets a deal: go to earth with him or never see her best friend again and probably get floated for not saying anything.
They have to survive or else the human race is gone.

'Why was she arrested?' hardly anyone asked because they knew what Cora had done why she was locked up for nine years of her life. In the process of all she deals with the pain of new kinds of love and being able to trust people after so many years of distrust.
