"Falling in Love With a Vampire" is a complex character. He is dark and brooding, with a tragic past that has left him with a tortured soul. He is fiercely protective of the human he loves, and will stop at nothing to keep her safe. Despite his dark nature, he has a gentle side that he only shows to those he trusts. He is a master of seduction, and uses his powers to draw his victim in before taking their blood. Though he is immortal, he longs for the human experience of growing old with someone he loves.

However the newest Scottish visitors have a long history that they plan on bringing to town. --- "They don't like the idea of new vampires in New Orleans." He reports shamefully, holding his head downwards. The butler seemed as though fearing for his life. I hold the lavender ball gown up to my chest, looking at myself in the floor length mirror. "On the contrary, dear Joseph," I pause, listening as my sweet Scottish accented voice floats around the room in tranquility. I turn to him, my ice eyes resting on him. "We are very, very old vampires." I drop the dress, and the butler looks up in fear. My movements are as fast as a striking snake, tearing out his throat in such a swift movement there's barely any mess. I look into his eyes as he raises his hands to his neck, falling to the ground in a light thump. I walk back and pick up the lavender dress, admiring my smiling reflection in the mirror as the tragically human butler bleeds out onto the expensive Russian rug. --- Some plot lines and moments of the Originals has been altered for this story.
