As much fun as it was being a sarcastic asshole, Joy was always on the lookout for more in life. After her pod was slaughtered by siren-hunting vampires, she became cold, never letting anyone in. She decided that to be safe, she had to leave the waters which she called home. Always traveling, on the move. It'd been so long since she had seen any of her kind, and while she had a few run-ins with the monsters that killed her pod, she always just ran away or ended up killing them. Many of her years after the incident were spent training, so she was quite skilled at returning the favor. It got boring and predictable, so she stopped actively seeking them out. Eventually she just stopped caring. Why worry about living and killing when she could have some fun? So instead of traveling for safety, she now traveled for the experience. Then one day she fount herself in Italy. Deciding to take a tour of the iconic "Volterra Castle" was either the best or worst decisions of her life.

You can only gather from them that he was beautiful, his voice was like an angel's, and that when he took you into the ocean, he became a monster. He only hunted young men, women, teens, and the occasional twelve-year old. It was terrifying, because the people had no way to stop him. Every night, someone would go missing, or come back insane. They knew he lived in the ocean, and when people tried to bomb the area where they thought the monster lived, they would either be cursed, or just eaten by the sea monster himself. And the people who came back insane, they would always wander over the fact that the monster had not even a scratch on him. Teens, young men and women would fear for their lives, and lock themselves in their houses at night. But only one person refused to hide, either in bravery or utter stupidity. That person was Will Solace. So basically, this story is based on the cover art of the book. I just thought it was such a great idea and wanted to put it to story. I saw another person do this and they used the same cover art, and I hope you guys like my version! I, personally very much like it and hope you guys do to!
