Ashlyn swore that if they weren't wearing a mask, they would have a large grin, or would it be a smirk? with how it raised up, revealing the skin of their chin.
" You're welcome. "
She shut the door close as soon as they weren't in their front porch anymore, trudging towards the dining table to settle the bowl on its surface. She didn't even know that she was holding their breath talking to her neighbour like that until now, and this one was as shaky as her voice a few seconds ago. To be frank, the feeling of talking with them was unsettling, she expected it, albeit, her heart didn't beat as fast and hard as it was and slowly became normal along with her ears that were no longer in pain as it was before.
She stared at lone bowl on the table with glaring eyes and for some minutes it was just her, the food on the table, and the ticking wall clock.
It wouldn't hurt to try what their food tastes like, right?
Paving her way to the kitchen to grab some plate and a fork to eat with wasn't as easy as she thought it would be - because the moment that her hand made contact with the utensil, black pooled her vision, her body too had made contact with the floor.
