Varian and the Seven Kingdoms
The book was hard-covered, and completely coated with dust. It was huge. He used his gloved hands to swipe the thick layer of dust off, fully dropping to his knees as he read the name engraved on the cover. He let out a shaky breath.
Ulla.
He dropped it back into the hole, his shoulders tensing as a cloud of dust rose around him. That was his mother's name. A million thoughts began to run through his mind. One kept rising above the rest: why was it hidden? Why-why was his dad hiding it from him?
"Kid? What is it?" Naturally, Eugene was the first one by his side, a strong hand on his shoulder.
"Mom?" Varian whispered.

When Varian finds his mother's old journals hidden underneath the floorboards of his house, he knows he will have to embark on an adventure to finish her work. He's always yearned to know more of his mother, and he needed to know why this whole 'eternal library' thing was so important. Why she left him for it.
