Hobie Brown had never been much of a lover, he tended to enjoy chaos, drama and the occasional overthrowing of a powerful government. Every Spiderman had their MJ or their Gwen, apart from Hobie. Every Peter Parker, every Miles Morales, every Ben Reilly, they all had their soulmate, the woman they would forever be in love with and inevitably marry. It was Spiderman canon. Hobie had always thought he would be the exception, especially when he hated conformity, but just like the death of an 'Uncle Ben', getting your 'MJ' was inevitable. And for Hobie that came in the form of an equally British and sarcastic girl named Mahi Sharma.

After befriending Hobie during one of his missions on stopping holes he later returns to take y/n to the Spiderverse where she meets some new spider-people, one spider particularly has her wrapped as well as wanting to hit him with a train.
