Each territory has existed since the dawn of time but it doesn't seem like they've ever fully been able to exist together without a fight. 
No species was supposed to be allowed to wed and produce children outside their own... but with some like the vampires and werewolves, that's always a situation out of anyone's control except for the Moon Goddess herself. My parents kept my birth secret. After all, a Witch/Wolf hybrid child was frowned upon.
