Xander Murphy has never gone to school before, and he's terrified. Middle school, that is. After a rocky move across several states, he isn't entirely sure where he belongs in the complicated chaos of transitioning from home to public school. With a plan to impress a certain teacher, he's certain that he's found a way back to security. But life has a way of disrupting the most carefully laid plans, and security is not so easily won.
Jay Moore wants to be liked. Coming from a Catholic schooling background, he sees the switch to public middle school a real chance to express himself. Plus, he'll be attending classes with his cool older brother for the first time, and now he can finally find a way into the clique. However, this friend group may be out of his league, and if he wants to find a place of belonging among them, he will have to make sacrifices.
Join Jay and Xander in this coming of age tale of trust and friendship as they learn what it means to stand strong and be a true friend.

This is the backstory for my two soon to be protagonists, Jay and Xander, and where their friendship began.

Now this is definitely much different than a lot of the books on this site, but I want to share this work somewhere. And I made this when I was 11 soooo... 14-year-old Jayden Ficsher has never really liked her mom's new boyfriend, Lance. And when not only does she find out the guy she has a crush on is his son, but that Lance her mom are engaged, Jay's world crashes down. It takes a lot for her to come back up from it, which her best friend, Phoebe, helps her with.
