In the year of 1286 on the nineteenth day of March the king of Scots Alexander III dies in a fall from his horse. With only his young granddaughter left to succeed him its up to the dead kings half brother the bastard of House Dunkeld to retrieve her from Norway and serve as Guardian of Scotland until she comes of age to rule as Queen of Scots. 

This is a partial historical novel as some figures and events did exist and some things might be changed or created.
