With the great illumination succeeding in curing the hunters, the heroes of Chima have vanquished evil from the lands of Chima they call home. However, when a newcomer arrives from the mysterious lands below, he brings an army with him and thrusts the people of Chima into yet another war, this time in a land abandoned by its former rulers in the wake of an apocalyptic war. 

Now the heroes must track down the one responsible for the attack on their home and bring him back to face justice, but this will prove far more difficult than anything they've ever faced before. Will they remain loyal to their home and their people, or will they forge their own path and truly earn the name hero?
