There was 3 viruses going around
The blue vein virus which spreads through the veins in the body to the head and kills everyone infected.
The red veins virus which spreads through the veins and bloodstream in the body and turns you into a zombie.
And the black vein virus which spreads through the body and turns you into an angel who kills everyone they see as if God was punishing us.
And there was everyone who was immune left to survive and fight for their lives.

Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. It has nothing to do with A Different Virus. I wanted to try a book with an easily irritated main character and a nutcase secondary character. This book has a slightly darker outlook at the beginning than my usual stories, but it has some humor further along. The Wildfire Virus. That's the illness the eggheads have called dubbed that has spread alarmingly fast all over the world. No could figure out at first how and where it came from or how even spread so quickly. I was on leave, visiting brother in Boston when the infection hit. Yesterday, the world was normal with its own conflicts. The next, millions get sick, hospitals are overwhelmed, and any sort of space was converted into a makeshift hospital to handle all the sick. On day 2 the sick died and awoke attacking the living. I tried to get out of the city, but the military closed off every major access point and now I'm trapped within, along with millions of undead. A man who had the virus attacked another man, chewing his face off. It wasn't until 20 minutes later, when the Miami police arrived to the scene. When officers arrived they shot the 'zombie' but he ignored it, almost as if he didn't know he had been shot. He got shot four times before he actually died. Many people blame the attack on drugs, like "bath-salts", but if only they knew the truth. They couldn't find bath-salts in the man's system. He tested positive for LQP-79. The Miami officials deny any existence of this virus, but they don't realize that keeping this dirty secret is going to bite them later. LQP-79 seems to have been forgotten, until ten years later. Years later, people attack Jerusalem, and declare war against the Jews. This makes God extremely angry. When LQP-79 resurfaces in 2022, ten years later, as a result of God's wrath, people scramble to find a cure, knowing that this virus is extremely capable of becoming airborne. It is then, that people realize that this virus is a lot more than they can handle. Charlotte wants nothing to do with Nate or the girl who looks like her dead sister. She does not want to go through the grief of losing people again if something bad was to happen. And something bad does happen when Emmi is kidnapped, and it is no one's fault but Charlotte's. Through this obligation alone, Charlotte feels like it is her responsibility to get Emmi back, to right her wrong.
