Lan Xichen and Lan Wangji left the Lan sect two years before everyone came from their sect for lectures. People had spotted the two Jades on multiple occasions, they were not trying to hide that they left, they even wore darker robes. No one knows why they left but they do know that ever since they left they could always hear the sound of screams of terror, followed by the sound of a beautiful melody from a Guqin and a Xiao.

When the lectures began the Jades decided to come back to attend them. But to their surprise, they see the most beautiful things they have ever seen in their lifetime.
