In Mayurnagar city, five demon-hunters known as the Guardians of Soul bear the task of banishing evil spirits (pret) escaping the afterlife. These spirits possess human hosts with demonic desires, encouraging heinous acts to consume spiritual energy or souls. The Guardians-Shital, Rohit, Jiya, and Nikhil-operate covertly in a restaurant named Uṇavu uṇavakam.

Maya, a spirit of Light, seeks a new Guardian. Departing Satya lok with Param Dev's approval, she faces limitations due to Megham, a special cloud territory connecting the Spirit World to the mortal realm. Simultaneously, Aman, in his 20s, dies in a car accident. Unaware of his death, the driver takes him to a hospital.

Maya, unable to venture beyond Megham, locates Aman's body in a car. Possessing him, she transports his soul to Satya lok. Aman, selected as a new Guardian, returns to life with a healthy body. Joining the team, he becomes Nikhil's roommate, and together, they confront bloodthirsty demons, evil souls, and malevolent spirits in a gripping battle against the forces of darkness.
